The Root Seekers Genealogical Society is organized as a nonprofit, educational organization, managed by a Board of Directors. Its purpose is to further the development of genealogical research and to act as a training agency for people interested in genealogical research, to acquire a collection of genealogical and historical material, and to make the information available to others doing genealogical research.
Our web site is designed with two goals in mind:
-
1.To provide information free to all researchers; however, we would appreciate users crediting the Root Seekers Genealogical Society as the source. (Approximately 90% of the information provided here is open to all. The two exceptions are the membership list and the Quarterly Newsletter which are open to Members Only.)
-
2.Research is provided by the members as an outgrowth of their personal study with few links to other sources.
